With the trilogue negotiations on the review of the Securitisation Regulation now underway, the future of the European securitisation framework is entering a decisive phase.

Europe needs capital markets more than ever. Mobilising private capital for investments is necessary to cope with todays and future challenges. Securitisations - the pooling of receivables financed by issuing notes - are an integral part of European capital market financing. In particular, securitisation connects the financing of bank dependent small and medium-sized companies with capital markets. Such transactions unlock bank capital for additional lending and it contributes to an efficient risk sharing also outside the banking sector.

The Association of German Banks (BdB), the German Economic Institute (IW) and True Sale International (TSI) would like to invite you to a discussion to reflect on these and other questions with an engaging panel of policymakers and experts at this important stage of the legislative process.
